Hi, I’m Holly.
Helping people to feel lit up about teaching and education makes me so proud and drives everything I do.
If you’re looking for inspiration for your teaching or your school, or just want to get your passion for teaching reignited, I’d love to work with you, too!
A little about my experience and credentials…
- PhD in Leadership and Change (you can check out my dissertation research here; yeah, I’m a data nerd…)
- Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and in Leadership and Change
- Early Childhood Mental Health Specialization
- 19 years of experience in education–4 years teaching; 15 years in administration and consulting; 9 years teaching college courses as Adjunct Faculty
- Certified Life Coach
- Certified Success Principles Trainer through Jack Canfield, the co-creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul and author of The Success Principles: How to Get From Where you Are to Where You Want to Be
- International presenter (United States, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia)
When I’m not writing/teaching/coaching, I can be found…
- Curled up with a good book… I love mysteries, spy thrillers, young adult fiction, and personal development books
- Taking classes and going to retreats to help me be the best self I can be…
- Traveling! My top recent trips from the bucket list were to Egypt and the Great Wall in China. I also love, love, love Kauai (Hawaii) and Disneyland
If you’re dying to know more, here are 3 things most people don’t know about me…
- My absolute favorite teaching moment was when a college student of mine told me that my sharing about real life and real struggles in the classroom and as a (former) step-parent helped her keep from dropping out of the class. #vulnerable
- I’m obsessed with the Disney villains, and adored the TV show Once Upon a Time–I love the way they humanized the villains and heroes beyond black and white. Regina is my favorite character.
- I am a proud furbaby mama to my cats, Mercury and Orion.
